Jurisprudence / Ethics Exam

It is essential for all applicants and registered members of NSCC to be familiar with and understand the legislation, regulations and standards of practice that govern the chiropractic profession in Nova Scotia. The Jurisprudence/ethics examination includes material on current government legislation, regulations, standards of practice, and additional information which is relevant to the regulation of chiropractors in Nova Scotia.

All applicants are required to complete and pass the NSCC Jurisprudence/Ethics exam.  The examination is administered online, is timed (two hours in length ) and is open book. The pass rate is 80%.  Applicants will receive their results within 1 business day of the completed exam.

The link to study material will be sent to candidates upon receipt of their application. Candidates may use the examination material as a resource during the taking of the examination. If a candidate is unsuccessful at passing the examination, they will be given an opportunity to write a supplemental examination.  A candidate is given as many opportunities as required to successfully pass the examination (additional exam fees will apply).

An exam fee of $150.00 is required by all new graduates and international applicants, and is payable prior to taking the exam.

Exam fee's are not collected from chiropractors registered in another Canadian jurisdiction(s) who are relocating to Nova Scotia (as per PACA regulations).

The exam will be administered on an individual per applicant basis. The link to the exam with instructions will be provided once all
required application documents have been received and accepted by NSCC and all required fees have been paid (if applicable).
