Peer Assessment

All licensed Nova Scotia chiropractors are required to participate in the peer assessment process at least once every five years. New members must participate in this process during their first year of practice.

Practice visits are conducted by the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors Peer Assessment Committee and include specific evaluation of:

  • Patient records
  • General office (signage, etc.)
  • Advertising
  • All other Standards of Practice that relate to the day-to-day operation of the facility

If any matter of concern or evidence of breach of a Standard of Practice arises during a practice visit it is referred to the NSCC's Registrar for further investigation.
